The Culture Show
I was over in Edinburgh last weekend to witness the first weekend of the Fringe. Yes, all the mimes, jugglers and unicyclists you've ever seen in your life in one place hassling you for money. I got plenty of photos which I'll post on flickr soon.
I went to see the Ron Mueck exhibition which had just opened and it was very impressive. As you can see in the photo, he sculpts amazingly life-like models of people. The sculptures are either far larger or far smaller than real-life and the attention to detail is incredible.
All in all it was a great exhibition, although it didn't have many exhibits and photography wasn't allowed. I got this surreptitiously using my camera phone before being wrestled to the ground and tazered by 3 security guards and the woman who worked in the gift shop.
I also went to see the Harry Benson exhibition 'Being There: 50 years in Photojournalism'. This was absolutely amazing and I would strongly recommend going if you have even the slightest interest in photography, celebrity culture or American history.
